“Rebtel may cause you to Speak Freely”

“WARNING”

Creative Director, Writer, Director, Producer, Editor

“Hollywood Premiere” ft. Basketmouth (Nigeria)

With its new brand and app, Rebtel wanted to develop campaigns that helped the brand stand out in its cluttered key markets (Cuba, India, & Nigeria). I was tasked with creating campaigns to communicate Rebtel's low-cost international calling in a way that embraced its rebellious brand while still remaining culturally relevant to our (various) target users.

With locally popular comedians as our influencers, I developed the "Warning" concept that showed how Rebtel's cheap international calls would cause users to "speak freely" in their everyday lives (with humorous consequences). With this concept, I created culturally-relevant campaigns featuring locally popular comedians for Rebtel's key markets of Cuba, India, & Nigeria.

I served as Creative Director on the “Warning” campaign, while also co-writing, producing, directing, and editing all of the films.

I’m pretty sure that the Rebtel “Warning” campaign was on the moodboard for rapper Jack Harlow’s “Nail Tech” music video.

Great song and music video, btw.
